We are committed to providing you with a relaxing, stress-free experience. We have a friendly staff, professional licensed massage therapists and a calm, inviting clinic. The information here will tell you exactly what to expect so you can enjoy your first massage and your next massage to the fullest.
Meet Your Therapist
When your arrive you will be greeted and asked to complete a massage intake form. The intake form will be where you record any medical history, past/present injuries and other conditions your therapist should be aware of. Your therapist will greet you and review your history with you. The therapist will ask about why you are coming in for a massage, your current condition, and any specific areas you would like to address during your massage treatment.
Beginning Your Massage
Your massage therapist will take you to a private, relaxing treatment room where a comfortable massage table with crisp clean linen awaits. A place to put your personal belongings and a chair are provided for your use. Your therapist will leave the room while you disrobe to your level of comfort. Some clients prefer to completely disrobe, while some will remain partially clothed. Either option is fine so long as your are comfortable. Once you are disrobed, you will lie on the massage table, under the top sheet. You will be given plenty of time for this process and your therapist will knock on the door and ask if you are ready before entering your room. You will be draped the entire treatment with the top sheet. The etiquette your massage therapist will follow is to only uncover the part of the body they are working on. We strive to ensure your modesty at all times. You can expect a tranquil and comfortable environment during your massage. The massage table is padded and heated which can be adjusted to your comfort. There will be peaceful music playing unless you request otherwise, and the room should be quiet and relaxing.
Some people like to talk during a massage, some people prefer to be quiet. Do whatever makes you comfortable, we will follow your lead.
During Your Massage
Before your massage begins, your therapist will ask you to let them know if at any time during your treatment if anything is uncomfortable. Depending on your specific needs or requests, your massage therapist will either perform a full-body massage customized for you (for general relaxation and stress reduction) or focus on the specific part of the body that you have requested.
This is your time to relax and be comfortable. If you have any feedback about pressure, room temperature, lighting, or anything, please let us know.
For Your Health & Wellness
When your massage treatment is complete your therapist will leave the room so you can get dressed. Your therapist will wait for you outside of the treatment room. When you are ready you will be instructed to open the treatment room door. Your therapist will enter and give you any post massage instructions based on your individual concerns or findings during your treatment. This can include stretches, follow up recommendations, hydration, and so on.
Once you have been given your personal instructions and all of your questions are answered, your therapist will walk you to the front desk and reschedule you if you like.
Don't Forget to Hydrate
Water will flush any toxins released from the body during massage. It will also hydrate muscles & prevent soreness.
We look forward to seeing you for your first or return visit. If you have any questions about massage or our clinic one of our friendly staff will be happy to answer them for you.
